Game Informer have got wind that the next installment in the Zelda series for Nintendo Wii is already in development - and has been so for the past year.
Details are sketchy at this point, although it is known that Miyamoto previously stated that Twilight Princess was to be the end of the traditional Zelda experience, so expect something a little different this time around. With the game being developed from the ground up for Wii, we can most probably expect Wii-mote functionality to be alot more influencial on gameplay.
A release date is currently unknow, although GI did state we’ll get the game “sooner than expected”, so stay tuned for more details.

Dammit. I’ve been a Zelda fan for over a decade, and I’m sick of these damn gimmicks. Each was worse than the last. Sailing -> Four Links -> Wolf = Stupid.
Good bye good Zelda’s, hello “new” and “innovative” games.

yeah, let’s remake the same game over and over again.

All I care is if the graphics are decent, and they don’t use Ganon again. And I also hope and pray they WON’T make a “futuristic” Zelda game. P.S. I personally loved the four swords series, it wasn’t all that bad.

no!! they can’t just change Zelda like that! I prefer playing a good ol’ classic traditional sequel without wii-mote funcionality than playing… something “totaly diferent”. Damn… I have a bad feeling when he said that TP was the last “traditional” zelda game… Makes me think what a Zelda fps or platformer would be like…lol… (… oh crap)
