Zelda Universe – Pretty Much Everything Zelda

Probably my favorite fan base in the world of video games are Zelda ‘fan boys’. Once you meet someone who is dedicated to everything involving Zelda, it’s hard not to be impressed with the amount of knowledge that follows. You could spend an entire afternoon debating the timeline of Zelda, and how each game released is placed in the chronological sequence. When I stumbled across Zelda Universe, I couldn’t help but be amazed at just how much information can be found there.

The Legend Of Zelda Series Has More Fansites Than You Could Shake A Stick At

In their most recent post, it seems as though Zelda Universe has just gone under a massive re-design. The site is beautiful, utilizing an old ruin style, with bits of Hyrulian text sprinkled about. While the site looks nice, it’s the details provided for each game that is amazing.

Here is an example of some of the information you can find about the original game, Legend of Zelda:

Prologue
Character List
Items & Equipment
Maps
Game Genie Codes
Enemies
Bosses
Character Art

While alot of those features are pretty standard fare for a fansite, the detail with which Zelda Universe uses is un-paralleled. After reading the boss list, there were bosses that I had no idea had names attached to them.

So, if you consider yourself a Zelda fan, definitely check out Zelda Universe. I recommend reading the different interpretations of the Zelda timeline, as you could make a novel out of the different theories that are mentioned (just be prepared to lose a massive amount of time in doing so).
