You’re fit, I’m Fit, Wiifit

Soon Wii players will have no excuse to not get into shape thanks to wiifit. Shigeru Miyamoto has again brought his hobbies to fruition. He started with Pikmin and based a game off his love of pottery and gardening, then continued with Nintendogs after getting his first puppy. Now he is bringing us Wiifit.

The Wiifit balance board is like nothing on the market to date. Miyamoto decided he wanted to make a game that was fun and would encourage gamers to get in shape in a fun way. Early on Miyamoto found that balance was the key to making this ambicous project work. Miyamoto said the wiifit could not function with out a balance and pressure system to keep track of emprovements in skill and technigue. And now the final project is head state side.

Wiifit will be available 5/19/2008 with a price tag of $90 USD. Which looks like a lot off the bat but saving having to go to the gym and the gas spent to get there and back will cover the price of the wiifit in a few months. I am really looking forward to picking this up and getting into shape since the gym is not for me.
