It has finally been announced. Harmonix, MTV Games, and EA have announced the June 22, 2008 release of Rock Band for the Nintendo Wii Entertainment system. The bundle will sell for $169.99. With a total of 63 songs to choose from, including five bonus songs. The drums, microphone and wireless guitar will also be available for purchase separately on June 22nd.

So let’s all hold our collective breathe that Nintendo figures out how to implement true down loadable content in a future Wii system update. Or at least get some kind of system in place before we all have to upgrade to a new system again.
Rock Band is rated âTâ for Teen (lyrics, mild suggestive themes) by the ESRB.

From what i’ve read out there in a lot of other boards, there will be no downloadable content available for the Wii.
