There is a table tennis game on Wii Play as well as Mario Party 8. However, neither one has the same depth as this full video game.
In Rockstar’s upcoming table tennis game for the Wii, players will experience the first game that was designed as well as a table tennis game can be.
Ben Kuchera of Ars Technica has written an article about his experience playing the game. He said that there will be three different control types that gamers can choose from. The first one is similar to the Wii Sports tennis game where players just use the Wii Remote and their players automatically move towards the ball. The second type lets players use both the Nunchuk and Wii Remote together. In this case, the Nunchuk is used to move the player’s character on the screen. The last mode is called the Sharpshooter mode and players will use both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk in this one too. The difference between this and the second type is that the Nunchuk is used to aim where you want the ball to land on your opponent’s side. If you are using this mode, you cannot move your player with the Nunchuk.
He also mentioned that there is no online multiplayer for this game which is a disappointment to some Wii gamers out there.
There is no definite answer yet from Rockstar whether the game will have a sequel.
It will be released in approximately two months. The Xbox 360 version of this game has already been released.
