Wii-like Games For PS2

:

If you or your friends have a Sony Playstation 2 system and do not currently own a Nintendo Wii, then this news may seem very worthwhile.

A company called In2Games announced that they will release motion sensing controllers this Christmas. They will also release 6 different games which take advantage of these controllers. The types of games are Tennis, Pool, Golf, Racing, Bowling, and Puzzlesphere.

The controllers/peripherals include a tennis racquet, a steering wheel, and a pool cue. The labels are intuitive so I guess that I do not have to list which one is designed for which game.

“The Realplay range of games is aimed squarely at those PS2 owners who want to play wireless motion-sensing games without needing to splash out on a new console. Each peripheral is as accurate as any video gaming technology out there at the moment, but on an entirely new format. The games are fun, challenging and highly addictive, and the wireless peripherals offer the best way of controlling games on what will be this Christmas’ most popular mainstream console,” said the CEO of In2Games, Elliot Myers.

Aussie-nintendo’s article has a place at the bottom where people can comment about this news. Some are mad that Sony is copying Nintendo and others say that the product is too expensive since it would be cheaper to buy a Wii than buy all six games.

There is a promotional image in the article where you can see what the controller and game boxes would look like when they are released.
