I can say that growing up doesn't mean having to want darker or bloodier titles. I am glad for Metris Prime: Corruption (it was AWESOME), but I enjoyed SMG even more. What a true masterpiece of game creation! I would never want that wonderful gameplay world sullied with a need for "mature" content.

Well, wait there is no shortage of games for the Wii, going to your local gaming store can prove that. What is lacking is the quality the games have, look at all the games that Nintendo releases and the quality that each one has. Now look at all, well not all but the majority of third party games to come out, most seem rushed and shoddily done.

Well I'm not sure I agree with you on making the Zelda, or Mario franchise more 'darker'. I do agree that the Wii is definitely setup for the FPS genre, and I can't wait to play The Conduit as well.

What I find funny is everyone blames Nintendo for the lack of titles coming out for the Wii. They haven't changed much in terms of how many first party games they've released, so I don't understand why the fault falls there. It's the third party developers who haven't taken the console seriously that should be getting the scorn from gamers.

Not to agree or disagree, but as a Nintendo fan for my entire life, I feel I must say that Nintendo has really dropped the ball. Not to say that Nintendo has not released any good games for us "core" gamers (as many of you would call it) but it does merit some truth. I for one am glad, do you hear glad to have games like Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Super Mario Galaxy, but it feels like there are not many games that would appeal to many other gamers out there. I was thinking about this today, that there is only so many times you can give me the Master Sword to beat "The Great King of Evil" Gannondorf with senseless, and sure the game was fun with new puzzles and the formula works great, but it feels all to done before.

This along with Super Mario, but I have to say that Super Mario Galaxy was a great innovation to the series, watching the chubby plumber walk upside down is great and flying through the galaxy at light speed, really each level felt like a sandbox world, I know it was not but it did. Nintendo needs to let more games come out, such as No More Heroes, and thankfully a sequel is being released because I really need to see some blood on my Wii. Do not get me wrong the cute and fun styles of Mario and Zelda never looses its place in my heart but if they could be a little more darker like Metroid Prime then Nintendo would never hear a complain from me again. Not to further throw wood on the fire of "Core v.s. Casual". I do think that Wii is the home of FPS, with its controls it just screams for more, but that games just need to be more mature to keep people Nintendo, your children fans have grown up and do want a little more out of their gaming console, I am thankful that MadWorld is coming out and hope that it is good.

Along with the Conduit, and any other Third person title that has more mature and darker subtleties. Again I do not wish to agree, or disagree just to voice my opinion. Remember its not us, or me its Wii.

I agree. I read that this morning as well and was thoroughly peeved for a good two hours at least. Nintendo is getting a lot of criticism for not releasing "core" games, but honestly...how many games does Microsoft and Sony release themselves every year? It all really boils down to 1) third party support and 2) what constitutes a core game. I don't understand why "core" games are all first-person shooters either...
