Wait, You Mean Manhunt 2 is Violent?
Well, it looks like Manhunt 2 just can’t get away from the controversy. Some still believe that it shouldn’t have gotten bumped down to Mature from its original Adults Only rating.
Quite frankly, I don’t see the big deal. I’ve been playing it for a couple of weeks now and so far as I can tell, it’s tamer than the first one which had a Mature rating. You can’t even see the kills clearly in it. Anyway, last I checked, Mature meant that the game was meant for “Mature” players.
As far as the game goes, though, I’m a bit disappointed considering all of the controversy. I was expecting a much more extreme game than the one that was released. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy playing it, but it’s no Manhunt 1.
I think it’s kind of funny that all of these people that have such a huge problem with the game are just making people want to play it more. It reminds me of the old saying “there’s no such thing as bad publicity”.
If people wouldn’t get so worked up over it, it would probably be quickly forgotten.
For the record, I am not going to get in a big debate about video games and violence, so save your keystrokes. It’s such a tired subject. However, comments are still welcome.
