Virtual Console Getting Smash Bros. 64?

Are you one of the many people saddened by the news that Nintendo is pushing back the release of Super Smash Bros. for the Wii? If you are… you might have a little ray of hope coming your way - in the form of Smash Bros. 64 on the Virtual Console.
According to Nintendic.com, the latest issue of Nintendo Power has news of a “special Virtual Console Treat” coming in the near future… could this be Super Smash Bros. 64?
This actually makes sense since they released both Metroid (NES) and Super Metroid (SNES) prior to the release of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii).
Anyone interested in playing some retro Super Smash Bros. 64? Feel free to let me know

SSB’s release on Virtual Console is inevitable, however adding features like WiFi isn’t, adding new features would mean this classic would have to compete with brawl.

i would love to play it on the VC especially since I’d be playing it with the GC controller.

Well it is relevent for this game to be released for virtual console prior to Brawl. As with Super Mario Bros 3 and Metroid. One thing I would be most looking forward to is the drastic improvement of graphics. However, features such as Wi-Fi are unecesary and most definently unlikely to be included within the game.

Well i was hoping for super smash 64 to come out on the virtual console too. But unfortunely the virtual console has already been updated this week(March 3rd, 2008 Monday) and it could have only been released today since brawl will come out this weekend and they won’t release it with the release of brawl. I think that since brawl is going to be more of a sellout than the the other games that were released with their virtual console counterpiece, Nintendo will probably want gamers to focus on their new game instead of going back and reminiscing about the old days. Besides, if super smash 64 WAS going to be released, it would be a better idea to release it earliar, not a week before brawl. I wish it would be released on the Wii though since i really like it and it would be hard, not to mention costly!, to find an N64, four controllers, the cords, memory pack thing, AND the game itself!

i wont it on the wii my frends keep coming over and playing it on my nintendo 64 cos it hasent come out on the wii yet plees save me lol
it would b asom i no of at leest 30 of my frends that would by it as soon as it came out lol
