Umbrella Chronicles rumour

An interesting slab of information has cropped up about the Wii-exclusive Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles via NeoGAF.

According to the popular forum, website New Quiter are reporting the following information on Capcom’s upcoming gore-fest:

-The game will NOT be a side story; instead, the new game will be based between the events of Code: Veronica and 4.

-Jill Valentine has been “confirmed” as being a playable character, with a further two playable (one of them rumoured to be Albert Wesker)

-Gameplay will follow RE4’s ‘over the shoulder’ mechanics.

Details regarding the concept of this game were previously revealed on Capcom Europe forums, where a staff member confirmed the game would simply be a sidestory based around scenarios from RE1 through RE3. Given the fact we have already seen a small clip of RE1’s mansion from this version, this new info is likely fake.
