Ultimate Duck Hunting for the Wii

No, it isn’t the old school official Nintendo version of Duck hunt, but Detn8 Games has announced “Ultimate Duck Hunting” for the Wii. Ultimate duck hunting is not the cartoony affair that the words ‘duck hunt’ will conjure in the minds of most of the NES crowd.

This is a duck hunting sim where the players are responsible not only for the shooting of the ducks – but also for controlling the actions of their canine companions. The dogs, incidentally, are configurable according to your tastes – yellow, chocolate or black Labradors.

The game will have multiple modes – including some for training your dogs and feature maps in various locales including Arkansas, South Dakota, Virgina and other fowl blasting hotbeds. We’ll certainly keep our eyes peeled for the scheduled July 2007 release of this one.
