Turok is a no-go for Wii

Dino-blaster Turok may have debuted on Nintendo’s 64 console almost a decade ago, but it seems that its chances of being seen on another Nintendo console are long extinct.
The team at 1up.com recently interviewed the developers behind the latest addition to the frachise, currently scheduled to appear on the Xbox 360 and PS3, asking on the possibiilty of a Wii version.
Josh Holmes of Propaganda Games replied “When we first began development on Turok, we focused on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms based on the capabilities of those systems to deliver a truly next-generation experience. Like most gamers, we’re looking forward to the Wii, but we have no plans to bring Turok to Nintendo’s new console.”

turok should be on the wii because the capabilities and the feel of the game when shooting at enemies like at and arcade

Capbilities to deliver a next generation experiance? Isnt that what the Wii is all about? PS3 and the Xbox may have soem fancy graphics, but when it comes to game play. it is all about the Wii. Turok was a nintendo exclusive, and it deserves to have the feel of the Wii.

One sentence the Wii was named this because it can Pii all over the 360 and PS3 hands down, Fancy graphics phaa I have a PC for that, when I want to play games properly I play on the Wii and the experience is far beyond PS3 and alike and the graphics on the Wii are quite bloody good I put 10 that it could run Quake4 hands down with the Wii mote supported.

the only good turok was turok 2, evolution was the worst game ever so bearing in mind zelda and mario are we going to be missing much? turok doesnt even follow the same story line as the others it may as well be fall of man 2?

I just done a search for Turok on the Wii, and found this, now i’m Devastated, I love Turok, played it on the N64 and the GC, have been looking forward to it coming out on the Wii. The only reason i can think of not bringing it out on the Wii is because of the graphics capability of the Xbox360 and the PS3, and if that is the case then the Turok creators reall should think again as for me this game and all games are all about playability, too much concentration on graphics and video scenes are a waste when it can be toned down to make the game playability more exciting, and personally as someone who would Rate TUROK as one of the best games i have ever played i will sadly miss it, but i will not be buying a PS3 or an Xbo360 or any other console, i will stick with Nintendo as i have always done.

the wii is now selling more of its Console than the x box and ps3 put togther!!!

Wow. This sucks. I was so looking forward to turok for the wii and then they go and do this. Nintendo is my favorite gaming company. Sure, I like halo, but who doesn’t. Ive been a nintendo fan ever since I had a NES. Seriously… Bad move… Why should turok get shared to sony and microsoft when they never share any of their games?? Turok deserves to be on Wii.

Man, I’m also frustrated about this. I was looking forward to play turok on wii. It would be just great to use the wiimote to play this game. I’m a fan of this game series and I didn’t wanted this, Turok was always on Nintendo consoles and now it won’t. How can they say the ps3 and xbox360 have grater gameplay capabilities when the only good thing they have is the graphics and high def. The wii has the real gameplay advantages and experience feeling thanks to its new control system, the graphics are the less that matters, and they are still very good on the wii. I hope the reconsider what they said and make a wii version.

All turok games are the best games ever but evolution was just terrible i hated the storyline ughh oblivion was just hard and seeds of evil id give it 10 of 10 the best game ive played since ever.

I was just on the phone with my brother, and he was telling me about how the new Turok is getting released for the Wii and 360 only…
When I found out the horrid truth after reading this blog, I must say I am extremely saddened that it will not be part of the Nintendo collection. I’ve always loved Nintendo for making wicked games that not only are unique, but fun to play.
And now another great title gets handed over to 360 simply for “better graphics”. Let’s hope that’s not all they concentrated on… COME ON NINTENDO! Keep something other than Mario for yourself!!! I know you are generous but come on!

Nintendo accepts crap from these companies (look at “Elevator Games”) and we know it. The GameCube hung on, and this was due to a few head liners, but these companies need to include and also put in some actual work on the titles that Nintendo accepts for the system. Who wants to purchase crap for what is supposed to be a next gen system?
The games like Turok and Unreal 3 need the proper specifications to run on a system or else gameplay would be one big lag. I’m sure they can be adjusted in some way, but the Wii should have been a step up also, if you can get the same game on the PS2, it doesn’t exactly feel like a step up from what was.

Turok was the firstt game that I couldn’t beat. It scared me and provided a challenge that took up good times. Couldnt the developers make a different turok for wii only? That is my only request. Whos with me?

I too was disapointed when I heard that Tuork was not being created for the Wii. I personally feel that that was a bad business decision that will be costly in the end. I am not going to buy a PS3 or an XBOX just for Turok. Does any know if they will create a downloadable Turok (N-64 version) for the Wii?

I played Turok in The N64 System, and I loved it, now i got the Wii and its just great, I love Nintendo because they always make something different and better, the Game Developers of TUROK need to reconsider what they just said, TUROK was born with Nintendo and If it Would die, it should be with nintendo, because nintendo brought it to Success, and The Wii Would Make more sales for that game than any other system. JOSH HOLMES and your whole team, you need to reconsider to release a Turok version for the Wii. I DONT BELIEVE THAT THE NEXT GENERATION GAMING IS ABOUT GRAPHICS, BUT ITS ABOUT INTERACTIVITY OF THE PLAYER WITH THEIR SYSTEM.
