The Conduit Goes Gold

For those who have been anxiously anticipating the release of The Conduit, should know that the game has officially gone gold. This means that right now, all the discs that will be sent to retailers are being made. Your copy is probably getting all the game code added to it as I’m writing this.

Needless to say I’m giddy with excitement, and with The Ghostbusters coming out next week, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, and of course The Conduit — my Wii will be working overtime this month.

Here’s the official announcement from SEGA:

“SEGA and High Voltage Software are proud to announce that The Conduit has gone gold, and will ship to North America on June 23rd, 2009. A unique first-person shooter, The Conduit is an original IP featuring an intense conspiracy-laden single-player campaign that brings an unparalleled shooter experience exclusively to the Nintendo Wii™. Soon you will be able to arm yourself with an arsenal of sci-fi gadgets and high-powered weapons as you fight against aliens, rogue agents and other enemy forces. Additionally, be ready to dominate your friends from around the globe in up-to-12-person online multiplayer battles!”

The Conduit is available for pre-order as a regular edition from Amazon.com (with a digital comic book pre-order bonus) and a GameStop Exclusive Limited Edition, with unique packaging and bonus items.

There’s still time to enter our “Signature + Swag” design contest for The Conduit, where you can win The Conduit Limited Edition Wii game, signatures from the team at High Voltage Software, and some unique swag that you can’t get anywhere else! See more here (runs until the launch day of the game, 6/23/09).
