Terrible Super Smash Bros. Brawl Trophy Via GameStop

Saturday morning was a site to see as gamers came out of the wood works to pick up their copies of Nintendo’s Latest installation of Super Smash Bros. I was among the many out the night to pick up my copy and play in the “Biggest Tournament Ever” and I must say I was highly disappointed. The tournament was not your normal kind of brawl, being divide by series battles (i.e. - Pokemon Tour and The Mushroom Kingdom Tour). Players were allowed to pick from fighters of the series and not the characters they would have like to use.

Seems GameStop Inc. did not take this too seriously. To the winners of the tournament (Which when I got there I decided just to be a spectator) I am sure they were upset to receive the ugliest statue the had almost nothing to do with Smash Bros. except for the silk screened “Smash Bros. Local Legend of Wreckage“.

Don’t get me started about the trophy… No mario, no luigi, nothing even remotely related to Nintendo. Just a cheap looking generic wrestling trophy that looked more like Frodo the hobbit in a unitard than anything from ssbb. GameStop I give you an Epic Fail on this one. “Power to the Players” seems more like “Power to Misunderstand the Players.”
