Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

A new Star Wars video game has been announced and it will be released for various video gaming systems including the Wii, Sony Playstation 3, and PSP.

This game promises to have a good control scheme that lets players wield the Wiimotes as lightsabers. There will also be sounds that will come out from the Wiimote’s loudspeaker according to the news.

“The Wii is a great platform for The Force Unleashed, because the console’s motion-oriented controllers really bring the game to life,” said Jim Ward who is the President of LucasArts.

“We’ve worked hard to make the Wii version of the game unique in order to truly let you unleash the Force,” he added.

In this game, the players will take control of Darth Vader’s ‘Secret Apprentice’. The game will also feature new information about the Star Wars galaxy. I know that in some Star Wars games such as Knights of the Old Republic, players can choose between the light side (which are the good guys) and the dark side (which are villains) but I have not heard of a Star Wars game where players can only be part of the dark side. Therefore, this will be the first game where players will not have a choice of controlling a good person.

The story is set between Episode III and Episode IV. The quest of the Sith Aprrentice is to get rid of all the jedi in the universe. That is a no-brainer if you know about Star Wars movies.
