Smashbros.com has released several updates about the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii.
One of the updates is about a hammer. The official name of the item is ‘Golden Hammer’ and it is rendered in a gold color with two red stripes. It appears on a pedestal. The article from Smashbros.com says that it is more powerful than a normal hammer and it is also rare. It inflicts more damage to the other characters and it also swings faster. If a player rapidly taps a button, then his or her player can fly with the hammer. The hammer was my favorite weapon in Smash Bros. for Nintendo 64 and I’m glad that this item is also present in this game.
The details of the Wi-Fi feature in the game have also been released. The article notes that people who live very far from each other will suffer some bad connections. For example, if you are from North America and you want to play online with your friend in Asia, then you will have a slower connection compared to someone from Australia who is playing with someone from Asia.
In the menu, you can choose to play either with people who you registered as your friends or with anyone. This is a good feature since you don’t need to ask someone their Wii numbers to play with someone online.
You can send messages to your enemies by taunting. You will write these messages before the battles and you can assign them to the four directional buttons on your control pad.
