Shigeru Miyamoto Makes Time’s List

Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo’s legendary game designer is currently ranked number 2 in Time’s list of the 100 most influential people of the year. At the time of this post, Miaymoto is currently running in second place behind Stephen Colbert, which might strike some people as odd… but then you have to keep in mind that Stephen Colbert is, after all, “the greatest living American”.

Judging by Colbert’s curious ranking and the the dubious appearance of a couple other names on the list, it looks like Time’s Man of the Year might be up to some ballot stuffing shenanigans. There are some genuine contenders on the list though and I think Miyamoto is certainly a legitimate candidate.
