Separated at birth?

The Super Smash Bros Brawl website revealed another peek at the upcoming game. The trailer featured a villain whose appearance looked very familiar to this Final Fantasy fan.

Mario and the rest face The Subspace Emissary, led by a formidable commander known as the Ancient Minister. The Ancient Minister and his minions look like someone I’ve seen before. Here’s the A.M. followed by Vivi from Final Fantasy IX:

    so what? Its not like they stole anything. The ONLY resemblance i see in both of them, that is the same, is the eyes.

    I just thought it was pretty cool that the designers might be drawing upon Vivi for inspiration. No complaints here.
