With news that gangster romp Scarface: The World Is Yours is coming to Wii, developers Radical Entertainment recently spoke about the consoles graphical capabilities.
Speaking to website CVG, producer Geoff Thomas stated “The Wii has a lot of horsepower under the hood and we’re making full use of it.”
“We’ve overhauled our graphics engine to get the most out of the console by updating all of the shaders responsible for rendering the environment, vehicle, and characters. In many ways Scarface looks sharper on the Wii than it does on the PS2 and Xbox.”
Since launching, one of the most common criticisms over the Wii has been its visual capabilities. However, its obvious from future titles such as Super Mario Galaxy that developers are only just tapping into its full potential.
