Resident Evil Wii confusion
Comments from Capcom’s Jun Takeuchi earlier this week raised alot of question as to whether or not the famed Resident Evil series would be making it to the Wii.
Interviewed by gaming site Pro-G, Takeuchi was reputed to have stated that “he didn’t know if there would be one.” As expected, fans of Capcom’s goretastic franchise were understandably upset, considering the firm announced development of a Wii Resident Evil title at E3 back in May.
However, the chaps over at TheWiire.com got in touch with Capcom Europe on the matter, who revealed Takeuchi’s comments were the result of a mistranslation. “Therefore, Takeuchi-san’s answer does not contradict the announcement made at this year’s E3 which confirmed that a RE title for Wii was in development”, said communications boss Ben Le Rougetel.
Details of Resident Evil Wii are expected in the near future, possibly at the Tokyo Games Show next month.
