While our Europe, and Japanese gamers are enjoying their copy of Mario Kart Wii, we sit patiently in the states for the release. One good thing about having to wait, is we get to enjoy more gameplay videos before its’ launch. Ok, so that’s not very much silver lining, but hey at least it’s Friday. Anyway, here is a pretty interesting gameplay video from Gametrailers.com. It shows the differences and similarities between power sliding in Mario Kart Wii, and Mario Kart: Double Dash.

A collaborative effort between EA and Steven Spielberg isn’t at all surprising. These two have hooked up before, when Spielberg wrote the story for EA’s Medal of Honor back in 1999. What is definitely surprising, is Spielberg’s newest collaboration with EA for the Wii. Boom Blox is the title and is starting to catch popularity across the video game-verse. Its’ gaining popularity has sparked a question in my mind. What’s the reason behind the sudden interest in Boom Blox; is it the physics engine or Steven Spielberg’s involvement?

Yesterday, Gametrailers posted some gameplay videos of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. The videos come by way of the Nintendo Media Summit 08, where numerous games were shown off, unfortunately yours truly didn’t get to attend; maybe next year. After taking a gander at the videos, I am pretty pleased with how the game looks to be coming along. It’s hard to tell just how responsive the controls will actually be, but going by these videos they look to be pretty spot-on.

Ready At Dawn, and Capcom are slated to release their cult hit “Okami” today for the Wii. If you want to find a game that feels as though it was made for the Wii, you need not look any further than Okami. Clover Studio, is responsible for the PS2 release of Okami, and was also behind the Viewtiful Joe series. Ready At Dawn, who released Daxter and God of War: Chains of Olympus on the PSP, is responsible for the porting of Okami to the Wii.

It’s time to turn those dreams of your professional figure skating career into a reality.Go button up your sequined shirt and put on you tight black pants because it’s time to hit the ice. In this preview video, Mike and Roger show off their figure skating skills with the nunchuk and wii remote. I personally can’t wait to live my fantasy of following in Brian Boitano’s footsteps.

The next video of our DECA Sports preview, is the sand loving sport, Volleyball. After deciding who’s going to be shirts and skins in real life, it’s time to take it to the beach totally shirtless in DECA Sports. DECA Sports take on the sport looks to be a pretty real-to-life simulation of how the professionals play volleyball. There’s set-up moves, and spikes, along with blocking maneuvers for the defense. Enjoy the preview video, as Mike and Roger take you through a match of DECA Sports: Volleyball.

WiiBlog.net is proud to present you an exclusive preview of DECA Sports. Hudson Soft was kind enough to send a demo copy of the game, and we were able to give it a test run. In our preview video, we show off Badminton and some of the wii remote motions that go along with it. I’m hoping Hudson Soft adds the ability to lodge the shuttlecock into someone’s leg, David Ortiz style. Here’s the video, for your viewing pleasure:
