Re: FromSoftware's Chromehounds Is Back Online After 15 Years

@PZT I was today years old…. 🤣

Insane to think the game is nearly 20 years old now honestly…. I picked it up near launch. Looked pretty awesome, and I liked the idea of unlocking parts to build my own mechs. Had no idea the bulk of it was online at the time….. played some campaign sorties then quickly realized…. Shelved it mainly, for Dead Rising. A month or so later a friend said he and his buds were picking it up to mess around and we started a squad. Would meet up online near nightly and blast through. Dang decent squad too considering half of them weren’t major gamers - it was all about communication. Key to victory. Also helped I was a major gamer and great at stuff like sniping/artillery. 🤣 We cycles through all the factions to unlock all the parts - I had about 98% unlocked before we stopped playing. Good times

By Dm9982

Oh word? I need to get in on this
How old were you when you realized FromSoft's two Xbox exclusive mech games, "Murakumo: Renegade Mech Pursuit" and "Chromehounds", are actually references to the original two factions in Armored Core on PS1, Chrome and Murakumo
Now you know

By PZT

Truly was an awesome game for its time! Have always wished for it to come back! So many memories of my friends scouting while I set up artillery to take out an enemy base in a few barrages…. Or sniping other players cockpits…. Ahhhh good times!

Would love to see a CH2 get released on modern hardware!

By Dm9982

Who knew there were dedicated Chromehounds fans out there? Sadly I played this one a bit late, so I didn't get to try the online mode at the time. Maybe I'll give it a shot now!

By RealBroosh
