This is absolutely fantastic, while game preservation is not currently important to the mainstream and and even some game companies against it.
But I think they will come to regret not taking it seriously as they should as the market continues to grow and grow well other media shrinks massively.
I say well done for this preservation and giving people access to it.

Also a heart to all the comments above as they are all great replys to the subject matter.

Raimais is going to be just the American/Overseas version, isn't it?
LordBBH has repeatedly praised that game, but only for the Japanese version. Something about the English versions patch out the level warping function which I suppose makes the game a little lengthy but there's some secret stuff that becomes broken in that process?

Cosmology of Kyoto is an amazing game. It should have been a part of the greater template for cultural preservation and educational gaming. I had no idea a sequel existed in any form, this is really quite exciting news!

Sigh and here I am about to hit 17 years operating an arcade in a mall in Utah, and it's tough to get 1% of the media attention that this guy who couldn't even make it work after six months has received, all because people pay attention to negative news instead of the good.

It's simple to see why he failed - poor game selection (only 18 games?); nothing else to draw attention like pinball or basketball or food/drink; possibly a poor location; an unwillingness to operate newer content or to change the biz model when it didn't work.

@AeonicB Imagine this. I purchased a steam deck AND I'm still getting a Switch 2. It's almost like not everything is a competition that you have to pick a side on. If you don't want the Switch 2 that's fine, but damn bro, quit being so dramatic. I really doubt anything they've done would actually change someone's mind, you probably just can't afford it and that's okay. Sorry they can't just give out everything you want for free. Welcome to the real world.

I encourage criticisms of Nintendo and have a fair bit of my own, but nothing so far has been bad enough to sway me from buying the console. Even the worst ones have pretty reasonable explanations for those of us who are rational. Unfortunately, Nintendo will never have to fix their mistakes because the people who are making fair criticisms can easily be lumped in with those who are irrational. Like seriously, you think a CRT filter is going to convince anyone to either buy the console, or now cancel their preorder? Of course not. But since so many people are acting like it's the end of the world, Nintendo can just ignore the criticisms and never provide an explanation.

Like I dunno man. $450 isn't even a big ask for a console with the Switch 2's capability. Do all the math and the logic, and as much as people hate to hear it, $80 for a game from time to time isn't even unreasonable. Maybe just skip Mario Kart?

Who am I kidding. This will fall on deaf ears. Well, I'm going to enjoy my switch 2 next Thursday that I got almost for free by trading in my Xbox. I have pity for anyone who chooses anger instead of happiness or even indifference.

I feel like Wade risks stretching himself too thin with all that hardware. Stick with the 7800+ The NES level games seem to be selling enough to profit for both them and Plaion.

Well, I'm interested in all three SNK Evercade collections, even though I already own the Metal Slug compilation on Wii and three SNK compilations on Switch. Still, there are some titles in these Evercade sets that definitely justify the purchase! Well done, Blaze!

This game looks interesting, but I wasn't bowled over by the other announcements. I have most of the games on Switch and I don't really have the room for an Alpha. Oh well, still have lots to play on those collections I do own.

Something like Chase H.Q. on a collection would have really stood out.
