I feel like Wade risks stretching himself too thin with all that hardware. Stick with the 7800+ The NES level games seem to be selling enough to profit for both them and Plaion.

With consoles from Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo creeping into luxury territory, Atari should consider becoming the "modern" budget brand, especially since the market for affordable gaming is growing.

Technology between the PS3/360 and the PS4/One would be relatively cheap to manufacture (the PS3 originally used 65nm chips and currently demand for 30 nm chips or larger is relatively low). The key would be to implement the right set of features to attract both indie developers and budget consumers — maybe dual HDMI outs for local multiplayer, support for physical media, an online store — I'm just guessing here.

I think Sega should take notes honestly. I got the 2600+ and I am looking forward to the handheld they are releasing soon. If sega adopted this model for hardware and started making upgrades versions of their old hardware I would gladly buy it as well.

Atari has been really solid lately. Outside of Nintendo, they've probably been my favorite video game company the last few years. I'm excited to see what is next. I'd love to see a Jaguar+, but if it comes, I hope it's either preloaded with some games or they plan on re-releasing some stuff. Jaguar games aren't as easy to come by as 2600 games!

I hope that means we are getting either a Lynx+ (which technically would be a Lynx III) or a Jaguar+ (if it can look like the unreleased Jaguar Duo with support for cartridges and CDs).

Seriously, both the Lynx and Jaguar communities have been going strong since Hasbro Interactive declared both systems as open platforms in 1999 (Lynx is not mentioned in writing but both a former Hasbro Interactive staffer and Carl Forhan of Songbird have pretty much confirmed that the Lynx was indeed a open platform when Hasbro released the PR statement in 1999)
