Ubisoft have confirmed that its upcoming Wii shooter, Red Steel, will not feature online functionality when it is released this November.
Speaking with Nintendo of Europe, senior project coordinator for Ubisoft, Stephanie Langlois, revealed “Online will maybe one day be announced by Nintendo but it won’t be for the launch [of Red Steel]. In terms of gameplay I can’t reveal anything really but what I can say is that internally we are making tons of tests,” she said.
Nintendo have allegedly only just shipped its online plans to third party’s, with no launch titles currently supporting Wiiconnect24.
