Nintendo to hold Wii event?

Nintendo are allegedly planning to host its own event to showcase its upcoming home console, the Wii.

Website nintendonow, who attended the recent Comic Con event in San Deigo, were informed by an anonynmous source that Nintendo are planning the event in the run up to the consoles launch. He also let slip that a big announcement regarding new machine will be made at the Leipzig Games Convention next month.

Additionally, the company are not likely to make any surprise announcements at the upcoming Tokyo Games Show, squashing rumours that the consoles launch date and price may be confirmed at the event.
