Nintendo says no Wii delays

:

Rumors of “revised” shipment forecasts have caused many to believe the Wii will be in scarce supply for at least six more months.

Although GameSpot cited a report on DigiTimes that IC chips and PCB supplies have thinned, resulting in likely production delays for Nintendo’s latest gaming console, Nintendo denied any changes have been made to its schedules:

“Nintendo has no revisions to announce to its most recent shipment forecasts at this time,” a Nintendo representative told GameSpot.

In April, the company projected that it would sell 14 million Wii systems for the fiscal year that began April 1, 2007.

While you’re waiting, you can keep up with online availability at sites like WiiHunter, which keeps a running check of several sites and when certain bundles come back into stock.
