New Item In SBB

A new update has been released today on the official Smash Bros. Brawl website.

The new item that is featured is a food. What do you think it does? If I had to guess, then I would say that the food replenishes some of the health of the characters. However, I would be wrong since the food actually does not do that to the characters.

The food is an extremely spicy curry. In the first image, the artwork shows that the curry is on fire.

The second screen shot shows Diddy Kong approaching the food. If you look closely, both he and the food are on a large scale when you compare them to the stadium. Is the stadium a miniature version or is there some type of item that makes every character item in the game bigger?

In the next screen shot, it looks like Diddy Kong made the mistake of eating it since he is on fire and he looks like he is freaking out. The note on the website says that he is actually spitting out flames and your character will do this as you perform attacks.

The last screen shot shows Diddy Kong after he made a kicking attack to Yoshi. Notice that Yoshi is on fire with the same color of aura that Diddy Kong has. Below the screen shot, a note was included and it says players can perform combos while their characters are on fire.

I think it is a neat feature and very useful. What do you think? Do you like this additional item? Were you expecting something like this?
