Munchlax and Lyn

Smashbros.com had some updates about Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii recently. The site introduced two characters recently and their names are Munchlax and Lyn. Both of these characters came from different games. Munchlax is a Pokemon while Lyn is a character from Fire Emblem which was released for the Gameboy Advance.

There are three screen shots of Munchlax but they all show one sequence. The first one shows that he is walking around the stage. In the next image, it shows him with a flower on the left side of the screen. Then, the description of the third screen shot tells the reader that he just ate the flower. It also says that any item it gets, it eats. Therefore, based on the descriptions, I think he appears randomly in the stages and then he eats whatever items that are currently in the stage.

Lyn is a female character who wears a blue outfit and brown boots. She has very long green hair and she carries a sword with her. Three out of the four screen shots show a sequence of one of her attacks. First, she builds up power. Then the player will notice that she disappeared and was replaced by a glowing streak of light. A few moments later, she appears out of nowhere and attacks a character (who is Wario in this case) with her sword.

Based on the detail of the last paragraph in the article, she will be a character that provides support rather than a playable character.
