Monster Hunter Tri Sells 520k Copies In One Day, Hardware Sales Triple (Japan)

Everyone knew that Monster Hunter Tri was going to be a massive hit in Japan. The only question remaining was — how big could it get? Well we have our answer, 520,000. That’s how many copies of the game were sold during it’s first day of release. This catapulted it to the #1 position in software sales for the week of August 2nd.
