Various websites have posted that the upcoming Mario Kart game for
the Wii has been delayed. At E3 last week, Nintendo mentioned that it
will be released this year. Now, they changed their mind and they
said that they will release it in the first quarter.
“For the holidays we have a huge line-up of Wii games already,
including Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy, Resident
Evil Umbrella Chronicles and Pokémon Battle Revolution. Fans will not
be hurting for great games to play. “One of the most common
complaints is that the video game industry focuses only on the
holidays and saves nothing for the first quarter. Mario Kart will
fill that void, and we’re confident it will be a standout title,”
they explained.
I have to agree with them that they are making the right decision.
When I first heard about it a few months ago in a video game forum, I
can’t believe that Nintendo would release one of their ace title
despite the lineup of highly-anticipated first-party games such as
Mario Galaxy and Pokemon Battle Revolution.
