Yeah a lot of youth center type places have Wiis. I've been to a Mosque where they had a youth lounge which also happened to have a Wii. Sad thing was, whoever donated it decided to mod it so it could play pirated games.

I mean, I know people do it, and I don't care, but where's the ethics in that?

@Melissa

That's pretty cool, the video game thing, not the stolen televisions. Pretty sad that people nab stuff from a church.

The Wii in church thing is actually not that unheard of. :) Our childrens' ministry has several video game systems that the kids play with before church or classes start. I bought and donated a Wii to add to the mix earlier this year, along with Donkey Kong Barrel Blast. It's one of the most popular systems in the lineup (right before the PS2 with Disney DDR).

The systems are pretty well locked up, but someone did manage to steal two large screen televisions from our youth areas a couple of weeks ago. :/

While this seems a bit much, I can certainly see this being useful as more and more places have a Wii for their visitors/members/residents. My great uncle lives in an assisted living place (that's where old people live incase you don't know what that means ;-) and they have a Wii system for their residents to play with at any time....and I can see that one walking away easily without some protection.

I am sorry, I know you worked on this post. When I read the first paragraph I felt that I had to stop... and who steals from a church anyway?
