One of my favorite Nintendo Wii games released thus far was a launch title for WiiWare; a little game called Lost Winds. I was immediately enthralled by the art, and gameplay style of the quirky platformer. Since, I’ve been waiting for a successor and I think I might have found one with Icarian: Kindred Spirits.
Granted, there look to be some major differences between Lost Winds and Icarian: Kindred Spirits. If you visit the game’s website, they have a gameplay trailer up. It looks more action oriented than Lost Winds, but many of the same platforming elements look similar.
Rob Alvarez de Lara Sieder, one of the staff of Over the Top Games, the developer of Icarian: Kindred Spirits was kind enough to send me some information about the game, along with some screenshots. Hopefully, an interview will be soon to follow.
