Gravitronix

A new video game for the Nintendo Wii has been announced and it is called Gravitronix. The game is being developed by Medaverse Studios and it will be released in early 2008.

The game contains a multiplayer mode but based on the article from nintendorevolution.ca. It is not clear whether there will be multiplayer modes for online gaming purposes.

“We’re immensely grateful to Nintendo for giving us this opportunity. As a creative team, we had always toyed with the idea of game development and we even had an RPG in the planning stages during the height of the GBA’s popularity. We had all but given up on that dream, but when they first revealed the Wiimote to the world, that dream came back with a vengeance. Once WiiWare appeared on the horizon, we knew it was our chance,” said Jesse Lowther who is the Lead Designer of the game.

The battle takes place in a single-screen arena which means that the camera does not pan, nor zoom in on the action. The logo of the game is shown in the article and the objects in that logo will be used as weapons. Each of those will behave differently and their behavior depends on how you use them.

There are no details about the controls yet but it promises depth on the control scheme. The company will provide videos and images when the release date is near.

I do not play these type of games because I like games that have a storyline. So, when this game is released, I think I will pass it up.
