Back in the late 80′s, early 90′s there were very few things that were important in my tiny little world. One of them being Batman, and the other Ghostbusters. You name the Ghostbusters toy, and I undoubtedly had it somewhere in my room. I have a picture of me in my ‘Back off man, I’m a Ghostbusters’ sweatshirt. If I can find it, I’ll post it on here.
Fast forward 25 years, and I’m still a Ghostbuster at heart. I might not be driving an Ecto-1 toy around on the carpet, but now I have something better. Ghostbuster video games.
I consider it a travesty that I haven’t made a post about Ghostbusters on WiiBlog yet. I was looking back, trying to find something I’ve said about Ghostbusters, and bubkus. So, now I have to make a huge mega entry about Ghostbusters: The Video Game to make up for lost time.
I consider it a genius idea for whoever decided to make two separate games for the (PS3, Xbox360), and Wii. Too many times we’ve seen developers try to make the same game playable on the three platforms, and it just doesn’t work. The Wii just doesn’t have the hardware, and I’m glad the developers for Ghostbusters: The Video Game were able to realize that.
It was a genius decision, because nerds like me have already pre-ordered both Wii, and Xbox 360 versions from Gamestop. Free T-Shirt if you pre-order. Which nearly instantly doubles the profits for Atari, who I believe will look like geniuses for picking up publishing rights to Ghostbusters.
In light of my discovery of me not mentioning Ghostbusters, I’m going to have a little extravaganza today. I’ll be posting screenshots, videos, all dedicated to the upcoming release of Ghostbusters: The Video Game.
