Eidos RPG For Wii

Cubed3 has posted an article about the announcement of a new roleplaying game for the Nintendo Wii.

The game will be published by Eidos and it will have a dark and cartoony theme.

Some of the features in the game include:

1. Online battles. I think online functionality is one of the standard features of today’s video games and it is good to know that this game will have this feature. Players can also trade their monsters online like the Pokemon games.

2. The monsters can be destroyed piece by piece. Ouch! Whatever that means, it sounds painful.

3. The game promises 150 different types of monsters. The types include biological, chemical, and mechanical. According to the article, this means that there are more than 100 million possible variations.

4. It will have mini-games although there is no information yet on what kinds of mini-games will be included.

5. Players can play as one of the three scientists in the game. Their names are Professor Fuesless who is a mechanical expert, Dr Sandabar who is good at biological monsters, and the last doctor is named Dr Tchesombra who is a chemistry expert.

The expected release date of this game is in 10 months. As far as I know, there are no screen shots from Eidos yet of this game.

I am not very familiar with Eidos games but I do not think that they have released a Pokemon-like game before.
