Disaster: Day Of Crisis Release Confirmed

:

Wow, this was some great news to come back to after a three day Labor Day weekend. It appears that the rumors of Disaster’s release date were accurate. Numerous gaming sites have confirmed the release of Disaster: Day Of Crisis, which will hit European retail shelves on October 24th. So for those who are ready to battle terrorists, hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions the wait is nearly over.

For those who haven’t kept up, Disaster will follow Raymond Bryce a retired US marine. Bryce has had a rough life, which most recently saw his best friend killed in the line of duty. This tragedy stricken hero must overcome his demons to defeat the terrorist bad guys, while battling hurricanes in a 24 hour period (Jack Bauer meets inclement weather?).

The game is being developed by Monolith Soft. If you’ve never heard of the company they are the people behind Baiten Katios, and the Xenosaga franchise. Both games had a heavy focus on the story, which is something refreshing for Wii owners. Like most have been saying, Disaster Day of Crisis is one game to keep your eye on. Hopefully North America will soon have a release date after Europe gets their shot.
