de Blob - This One Should Be On Your Radar

:

Imagine the world without color, and everything in it being either white, black, or a shade of grey. Okay, so Sin City was able to pull it off and be cool, but de Blob is heading in the opposite direction. The game focuses around the central character, Blob, as he tries to save Chroma from the evil clutches of the I.N.K.T. Corporation.

The story is pretty simple in that the an evil corporation has moved into the city to put a fascist hold on its’ denizens. The corporation has removed all of the color from the city, and it’s up to Blob to bring the color back. From all the previews and videos that I’ve scoured through, it appears the Blob is going to be one crazy, free-spirited hero. You’ll control Blob as you take him through the city, putting color back into the buildings and people all the while dodging the bad guys from the I.N.K.T Corporation.

Easily the most impressive aspect of de Blob is the graphical style that is being utilized. As you watch gameplay trailers of Blob splashing around, you get caught up in the beauty of the colors, and the splatter effects that play out on screen.

The game will feature a story mode for single player, and also a multi-player challenge, mode. Unfortunately there haven’t been much in the way of details for multiplayer. In single player, there will be 10 levels to navigate through, which will have different missions for you to undertake. Some of these missions will have you splattering on I.N.K.T enemies. Others will have you find certain buildings, and bring color back to them utilizing different motions of the Wii controls.

I will post a few of the best videos I’ve been able to find so far. The game is set to release September 22nd, so there isn’t much more time to wait.

So is anyone else pretty stoked about de Blob? Here’s a fun fact about today’s post; I had to go back and change the word blog to blob six times because of spelling mistakes. Something subliminal going on there I guess. Another bonus for today is this article from NursingDegree.net. It has all kinds of information about Wii Fit, and how to utilize it correctly to get physically fit.
