Anything’s possible. According to NintendoRevolution.ca, King of Kong director Seth Gordon is tinkering with the possibility of making a movie out of the Wii’s Super Paper Mario.
“I’d love, really love, to adapt Super Paper Mario into a movie, a movie that would constantly switch from 2D to 3D. In five years, 3D cinema is going to be really big,” Gordon is quoted as saying.
Well, from what I’ve read around the net, he may be right about that.
And why not a Mario movie? Mario has been entertaining children and adults alike for decades. Obviously there’s already been a Mario movie. And obviously it could’ve used a bit more work. As much as I love Dennis Hopper, I have to question his decision on that one.
But something tells me an animated Mario movie (especially if in 3D) might go over a little better than that thing that was unleashed upon an unsuspecting earth years ago.
Personally I’d rather see the Captain Lou Albano/Danny Wells Mario/Luigi team at it again in motion picture form, but I’d like a PB Max too, and I don’t think I’m going to get that either.

Bob Hoskins questions that decision as well.
In a recent interview, he was quoted as saying that it was “the worst [film] experience of his life”.

Do you realise that there already are a couple of movies? In 1993 a strange drawn fantasy movie that didn’t quite stick to the games. And another quite funny (but still trashy) fantasy-commedy was released the same year.

Corwin, that’s hard to believe
Tin, no I did not realize there were two movies made. And somehow capt. Lou Albano wasn’t part of either one of them?
