Activision have confirmed that, despite using an entirely different control method, the Wii version of Call of Duty 3 will not deviate from its PS3/360 counterparts.
The game’s producer, Marcus Iremonger, revealed that “We were quite surprised that we didn’t have to adapt the single-player game,” he said.
“There are a few minor changes we had to do, but not gameplay-wise. It works pretty well: you’re not in any way hindered, compared with a normal controller.”Â
Despite the fact the Wii’s control method is “very, very different”, Iremonger insists that “it feels very natural”, adding “You have this pointing device. Well, what are you going to do with it? You’re going to aim a weapon.”
Call of Duty 3 is scheduled to ship for Nintendo Wii this winter.
