Chintendo Vii Video Review

A few months ago my fellow Wii Blogger Crum wrote about the console knock of the Nintendo Wii… the Chintendo Vii. Personally, ever since I read about the Vii… I was curious about it… how bad could it really be. Well today I stumbled upon the following video.

So what are your thoughts on the Vii?

Wild Earth: African Safari Boxart

Back in December I wrote about the upcoming game Wild Earth: African Safari… well today the box art made it’s way onto the intertubes.

Anyone looking forward to playing this title?

Mario Kart Wii Coming… With Mii Support?

Could this be true? Am I really going to have a chance of racing alongside some of my favorite characters of all time? Well, if this rumor has any truth to it… then yes!

Mario Kart Wii - Mii Support?

As of now, nothing has been confirmed by Nintendo… but this is one rumor that I’m getting behind and saying it’ll actually happen.

What are your thoughts on this?

SSBB Gameplay Video

Now that SSBB has officially been released in Japan, you can expect an even bigger flood of information hitting U.S. soil. For example, the video below shows an entire “brawl” between Toon Link and Ganondorf.

Be honest, who would win in a real fight between Toon Link (or just plain Link) and Ganondorf… I look forward to your answers.

Final Character Lineup For SSBB?

There has been much speculation about the final roster of playable characters for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl title for Nintendo. Could the following image actually be real? Look and decide for yourself.

SSBB

A poster on digg puts a name to each of the faces.

Bowser, Captain Falcon, Captain Olimar, Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong, Falco, Fox, Ganondorf, Ice Climbers, Ike, Jigglypuff, King Dedede, Kirby, Link, Lucario, Lucas, Luigi, Mario, Marth, Meta Knight, Mr. Game and Watch, Ness, Peach, Pikachu, Pit, Pokémon Trainer (Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard), ROB, Samus/Zero Suit Samus, Snake, Sonic, Star Wolf, Toon Link, Wario, Yoshi, Zelda/Sheik.

There appears to be a total of 39 characters (35 if you don’t count each alternate form).

So what do you think about the list… you think this is final… or just another fraud?

Old and Busted: Kickball – New Hotness: Virtual Wii P.E.

Recently, in England, four Worcestershire high schools added the Nintendo Wii console to their P.E. classes. In hopes the consoles would encourage students, who normally skip out, to get fit. (I recently wrote how gaming isn’t a suitable replacement for actual exercise).

Not only did the four high schools get the console… they also received heart rate monitors. (score!)

News.bbc.co.uk has a quote from a spokesperson from the partnership between Droitwich and Worcester City School…

“We needed to think differently – non-traditional, innovative and appealing to their existing interests. The use of computer games to increase physical activity levels and raise attainment to some would seem contradictory, but with rigid structures in place, and by using specific games, students soon found themselves being active and engaged almost without realising it.”

It still remains to be seen if this idea will go down as genius or idiotic…. but in any case what do you think about it?
