Amazon UK: Wii sold out

The Nintendo Wii has broken records for the fastest selling item in Amazon UK’s history.

The console, which was finally available to pre-order yesterday morning, sold out in an amazing seven minutes - promptly letting down alot of eager punters in the process, who had hoped to bag a Wii for Christmas.

“We expected a high number of people to visit the site today but the response was phenomenal”, an Amazon spokesperson commented.
